Food Waste in the Hospitality Sector: The Weight Problem

This presentation was given at a joint conference hosted by the Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association and the British Hospitality Association, exploring how to overcome the barriers preventing hospitality sector food waste from being recycled.

It looks at the challenges of making separate food waste collection work commercially, both for collectors and producers, focusing on the problems presented by the prevailing pricing model for waste collections and the physical characteristics of food waste.
