Vera is based in our London office and has a keen interest in the circular economy, eco-design principles and behaviour change programmes. She currently supports a variety of projects across our business areas.
Since joining, Vera has mainly worked on projects within our sustainable business and procurement areas. She has contributed to a number of packaging and EPR related projects. These included a review of the carpet recycling industry in the UK and liquid carton recycling infrastructure and rate assessment across Germany and Sweden. For a project supporting WRAP UK, Vera audited packaging in a number of retailers and consulted stakeholders to identify key industries, applications and users of PVC packaging in the UK.
Drawing on her interest in behaviour change initiatives, Vera co-led a number of focus groups for the London Borough of Havering, to assess behaviours and attitudes to current recycling and refuse collections as well potential future scenarios in order to reduce waste overall.
Vera also developed elements of tender document packs, the co-facilitated workshops and dialogue meetings, and evaluated tender submissions on a number of public procurement consulting projects. Clients included Wycombe DC, London Borough of Waltham Forest, London Borough of Havering, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and Derbyshire Dales District Council.
Before joining Eunomia, Vera completed a Master of Science in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Design for which she was awarded distinction from Brunel University, London. In her dissertation, which focused on the impact of a location-based mobile phone app on household recycling rates within the UK, Vera conducted several research pieces including surveys, user testing and product label audits in order to provide strategic recommendations to her client.
Prior to this, Vera worked at BMW Group in Singapore and the UK, where she led initiatives to optimize the supply chain, develop and streamline finance processes, and delivered high value service tenders.
Vera also holds a certificate in Business Sustainability Management from University of Cambridge and a BSc (hons) degree in Industrial Marketing from Staffordshire University.
