Laura joined Eunomia as a Trainee Consultant in 2020, following a year working in climate change disclosure. Her Master’s thesis at the University of Strathclyde focused on waste management structures at policy level in Europe, and her first degree was in Commerce from the University of Birmingham. She enjoys working on a variety of projects and providing support through research, data analysis and written communication skills.
Prior to joining Eunomia, Laura worked in the Technical Reporting department of CDP; an environmental NGO which runs a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions, to manage their environmental impacts. She carried out research into metrics used within a variety of industries to report environmental data, gained knowledge of GHG emissions reporting and TCFD requirements, and developed guidance for disclosers. She also worked for Keep Britain Tidy as a Local Environment Quality Surveyor.
Before returning to university to obtain her Masters in environmental studies, Laura worked as a retail management trainee for Asda, where she ran a department and was responsible for meeting sales and waste targets, alongside performance management of people, cost accounting and external customer relations.
Whilst living and travelling overseas for 10 years, Laura worked as a conservation volunteer in Brooklyn, New York and volunteered for Oasis Charitable Trust in the slums of Mumbai, India. She feels passionate about rewilding our natural environment and working towards a future where business needs and environmental concerns can work be integrated seamlessly together.
