As one of our Trainee Consultants, Kat works across a range of Eunomia’s projects, providing research, analysis and delivery, particularly to the Evaluation, Energy, Economics and Markets Team. Since joining Eunomia, she has worked on a wide variety of projects covering waste market due diligence, research in plastics circular economy, climate emergency workshops and metrics for sustainable development. Kat has also joined Eunomia’s GIS team, a group dedicated to analysing and visually representing spatial data.
Prior to joining Eunomia, Kat graduated from the University of Durham with a First-Class degree in Physical Geography, and then from Leeds University with a Master’s Degree in Climate Change and Environmental Policy. During this degree Kat covered a diverse range of topics and projects, from the evolving relationship between business, environment and sustainability, the challenges of global mitigation and adaptation, and environmental impact assessments. Her dissertation explored organisational change for sustainability and Fairtrade food labelling.
Kat has first-hand experience in using ArcGIS for environmental management having spent a summer working with the Ribble Rivers Trust. More recently she has used ArcGIS in the commercial sector and for Local Authorities whilst working at ESRI. She also volunteered as the Social Media Manager for Healthy Planet UK, a national charity raising awareness of the health risks of climate change.
