With many years’ experience in the waste collection and consultancy industry, Andy’s core expertise covers all aspects of waste collection and the sorting and marketing of dry recycling.

Within these subject matters Andy has experience and knowledge of designing collection systems, the diversion performance of municipal collections systems, specifying waste collections and analysing the resources required to deliver them.

Andy has procured municipal environmental services including waste collection, HWRC and MRF contracts. Andy is also a qualified productivity analyst and is experienced in leading productivity and routing projects relating to waste collection.

 

Recent Experience

Andy’s recent assignments include acting as technical lead in an assessment of a the efficiency of a MRF contract for a number of local authorities, procuring MRF contracts for Tewksbury Borough Council and Merthyr Council. He has procured HWRC and waste transfer services for Walsall Council and the London Borough of Enfield.

He has undertaken productivity analyses for the London Boroughs of Enfield, Hammersmith and Fulham and Wandsworth, and has assessed the measurement methods for contamination in a large MRF. He has also acted in as technical lead for collection options appraisal work for a many clients including in recent times Sheffield City Council, Stroud District Council and the Devon Waste Partnership.

 

Career History

Andy joined Eunomia in May 2008, having previously been Operations Director at Resource Futures and Managing Director at Network Recycling. Andy has a range of previous operational experience of the practicalities of waste collection.
