Andrew Coulthurst
Senior Consultant
I have broad experience across the waste and energy sectors, with a focus on market, technical and commercial issues. I am also a qualified spatial planner. Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors.

Andrew has over 10 years experience in the waste and energy sectors, the majority of which have been with Eunomia.

He was heavily involved in a project for a major energy consortium seeking to develop a new 1,852MW power station equipped with carbon capture and storage (CCS). This role entailed the project management and delivery of a planning application with full Environmental Impact Assessment. Also in the private sector he has advised on waste and energy investment potential on behalf of Goldman Sachs, Foresight Group, Ludgate Environmental Fund, Suez Group, Wessex Water, Andigestion and Peel Energy.

Public sector experience includes involvement in a diverse range of projects, with clients ranging from the European Commission to local authorities.

Andrew has managed a range of complex projects, and is adept at communicating with senior stakeholders.

Recent Experience

Recent work includes a number of waste market assessments for private sector clients, several projects linked to solar development, and, more specifically, research on behalf of Defra relating to hazardous wastes.

Career History

Prior to joining Eunomia Andrew worked for the London Borough of Haringey where he gained considerable experience whilst responding to the pressures of delivering significant change across the waste portfolio. This included project managing the development of a new HWRC.

Andrew holds a BA in geography, MSc in spatial planning, is an accredited Prince2 practitioner and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management.
