Greater London Authority Energy from Waste Assessments

31st July 2010

Eunomia undertook five studies on behalf of the Greater London Authority (GLA) to provide comprehensive analysis of Energy from Waste technologies. These were developed to support the publication of a new Municipal Waste Management Strategy in 2010.

For a range of technologies, including incineration, gasification, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion and mechanical-biological treatment, the studies included analysis not only of carbon emissions, air quality impacts and costs, but also an assessment of the bankability of the more novel technologies.
