Eunomia staff have their waste expertise tested on a daily basis, but less so their general knowledge. To remedy this, every so often we like to transform the top floor of Eunomia’s Bristol office into ‘The Dog and Loft’ for a special pub-quiz style social event.
The latest event took place this March, as quiz masters Sophie Crosswell and Steve Watson tested their colleagues’ knowledge of a range of subjects, including local history, science and nature, sport, and literature and film. There was also a music round which tied songs thematically to Eunomia staff members, and a special crafting round which saw teams building models of Eunomia’s directors out of dry recycling.
The winning team – going by the name of Blank Quibblers – represented a pooling of resources from across the business, comprising Eunomia Director Joe Papineschi, Junior PA Lauren Duffield, Business Manager David Gibson, Junior Modeller Sarah Kemp and Life Cycle Assessment Specialist Simon Hann. They took home the prized Eunomia Quiz Trophy (crafted from recycled materials, and reused from our last quiz) and a selection of classic chocolate bars.
Quizzers fortified themselves for the evening with a meal of falafel, salad, hummus and pitta bread laid on by local vegetarian, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern eatery Edna’s Kitchen, which was very much enjoyed by all.
