Eunomia’s London team recently enjoyed an evening at Bounce in Farringdon, the bar where the Taste of Italy meets 19th century Britain’s favourite sport, Ping Pong.
Expectations were high, as we’d spent the previous weeks sharing our tales of past glories with bat and ball. The old sporting epithet “victory is paid for in advance” speaks of the importance of training. As our first few rallies got underway, it soon became apparent that the only payment in advance that we’d made was the deposit for the table.
What we lacked in ability, we certainly made up for in imagination, pulling off some never seen before (and no doubt never to be seen again) shots. Head of London office Sam Taylor even extended this flair and style to his victory dance, beautiful captured by official photographer Luke Emery.
Following a hard fought doubles tournament we settled into the business end of the evening, enjoying some drinks and pizza – Jamie lived up to his job title by procuring extra pizzas free of charge following a mix up with the orders. We were all able to let off some steam, and it was particularly nice to catch up with those working in our European offices that had made the trip across.
