Remembering Jamie Walker

Posted in by

We are deeply saddened to learn of the recent, untimely death of our former Head of Procurement Jamie Walker after a short illness.

Jamie was always generous with his time and knowledge in assisting and advising colleagues and clients. He was an exceptionally knowledgeable expert in public procurement, able to turn his deep understanding of procurement law and commercial practice to the development of highly innovative solutions. When he opted to return to the public sector, the substantial number of authorities keen to engage him was evidence of the high regard in which he and his work were held, as well as the excellent feedback that we received on Jamie’s work from many clients.

His sudden illness and tragic death at such a young age came as a terrible shock to us all, and we would like to extend our sincere sympathies to his family and friends.

A JustGiving page has been set up in Jamie’s memory, with all donations going to Smile Train, a charity that Jamie supported throughout his life. Smile Train is international children’s charity that provides free cleft lip and palate repair surgery and comprehensive cleft care to children in developing countries.
