17/01/12 Adam Baddeley to present on CCS at WEETF Event, 7th Feb
On
Tuesday 7th February 2012, Adam Baddeley, a Principal Consultant at
Eunomia will be presenting at the Westminster Energy, Environment and Transport
Forum event ‘Carbon Capture and Storage: demonstration programmes and the
pathway to 2050’.
Adam
will be speaking and discussing, as part of a panel debate, on the
continued challenges for CCS growth in the UK, lessons learnt from the first
demonstration competition and paving
the
way for future demonstrations. This will include exploring such questions
as:
- What
lessons can be learnt from the application, assessment and overall selection
processes that were involved in the first demonstration competition?
- What
mechanisms have and are being put in place to allow the knowledge gained from
the Front End Engineering andDesign
Studies to be shared for the benefit of future CCS development more widely
- What
are the practical and technical challenges that still
need to be overcome in order for CCS to fulfill its potential and become a fully
operational technology
- What
should the objectives and deliverables be for future demonstrations?
- How
should the issues of regulation and the cross-border transport and storage of
CO₂ be accounted for in the design of future
demonstrations?
- Should
CCS for a gas-fired station be included as part of future
demonstrations?
