Eunomia has created a set of new infographic data-sheets which illustrate waste and recycling data from every London borough and joint waste disposal authority.
The visual information presented on one-page includes waste and recycling collection service statistics, performance information, and other demographic information for each authority.
Resource London, which is using the new data-sheets as a communication tool when discussing how it can best offer future support to the London waste authorities, has recently made the information available as an open resource via its website.
The objective of the Resource London programme is to have more consistent and more efficient waste and recycling services in place by 2020, that:
- achieve the Mayor of London’s target that London recycles 50% of local authority collected waste by 2020;
- make an effective contribution to the Mayor of London’s CO2 emissions performance standard, and
- are able to make a significant contribution towards England achieving its 50% household waste recycling target in 2020.
Managing Consultant Rob Gillies at Eunomia, who managed the development of the data sheets said:
“Resource London wanted to be able to provide a one-page summary of waste and recycling information for each London borough for their own use but also to share with the boroughs and other interested parties. These highly visual and easy-to-understand infographics provide – for the first time in one place – an excellent source of up to date information on waste and recycling service provision across the Capital.”
The data sheets are available from the Resource London website here.
