Three Eunomia experts will be stepping into the food waste spotlight at Waste-Works next week.
Running from Monday 29th February till Thursday 3rd March, the free event focuses on resource efficiency solutions for the hospitality sector. With a choice of fifteen inspiring and informative talks in the programme, three of which are led by Eunomia consultants, representatives from across the industry will be gathering at Hotelympia, EXCEL London for the conference.
- Dr Chris Sherrington, Principal Consultant, will be leading the second talk of the day on Monday 29th February at 12.15 covering ‘The Rising Tide of Litter: Future trends, possible regulatory approaches, and impacts upon foodservice and hospitality.’ This presentation will look draw on Chris’s recent marine litter work for the European Commission to analyse the growing problem of marine litter, its origins on land, and what this trend means for the foodservice and hospitality industry.
- On Thursday 3rd March, Consultant Hattie Parke, will take to the stage at 12.15 to discuss the ‘Viable Redistribution of Surplus Food & Beverage’. As a coordinator and volunteer at FoodCycle Bristol, Hattie has a unique combination of practical and theoretical redistribution expertise, which she has also blogged about. Hattie is one of the authors of Eunomia’s Anaerobic Digestion Market Report.
- Topping the Eunomia bill will be Mark Hilton, our Resource Efficiency Lead and Head of the new Circular Economy team. Mark will be speaking on ‘Practical Waste Prevention and Recycling for Hospitality Businesses’ at 1pm on 3rd March. Mark’s clients include many high profile foodservice and hospitality companies, and he is leading projects which encompass everything from eco-design and sustainable procurement to process efficiency and behaviour change.
