Eunomia is working with the New South Wales Environmental Protection Agency in Australia to assist in the development of a new strategy for commercial and industrial (C&I) waste.

Led by A.Prince Consulting Pty and also supported by Jacobs, the project is intended to support New South Wales’s ambition to minimise C&I waste disposal to landfill and reach its 2021 C&I recycling target of 70%.

Eunomia is contributing through:

  • a literature review of international approaches to the management of C&I waste;
  • input into the identification of key waste streams to target; and
  • supporting the development of the strategy document.

Senior Consultant Peter Jones, said:

“This exciting project brings together a great range of expertise to assist New South Wales in achieving its ambitious C&I waste goals. I’m pleased to be working in partnership with a really strong project team, and to be contributing Eunomia’s research skills and C&I sector knowledge to this fascinating piece of work.”

The project is due to be completed in June 2016.
