Eunomia has assisted the London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) to secure European Regional Development (ERDF) joint funding for a new programme that will help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) participate in the circular economy.
The recently announced Advance London programme will commence in January 2017 and run for three years. It will provide support to SMEs in London to improve their competitiveness by adopting circular business models or scaling up of existing circular businesses. The circular economy service will offer businesses the opportunity to:
- Increase their competitiveness;
- Access new markets;
- Grow and expand;
- Improve resource efficiency;
- Drive innovation;
- Build supply chain linkages; and
- Become more resilient to external factors.
Eunomia was appointed by LWARB to help secure the ERDF funding, which involved us leading on the preparation of both the outline and full funding application. This follows our previous work supporting LWARB to develop a Circular Economy Route Map for London.
