Eunomia’s influence in the waste and resource field has been recognised in Resource magazine’s annual Hot 100 poll, with four staff members appearing in this year’s list of ‘waste wizards’.
The 2016 poll, which was voted for by members of the public, sees the greatest level of recognition yet for work carried out by Eunomia. Director Joe Papineschi placed 30th, with Resource noting his award winning work on collaborative procurement, while Senior Consultant Peter Jones was ranked 14th for his tireless efforts in seeking redress over misinformation on waste issues in the national press.
Specialist Technical Adviser Emma How was new a face in the poll, shooting straight to 39th place for her work on reuse and prevention initiatives, and being described as “one of the big movers when it comes figuring out how we can aim for the top of the waste hierarchy”.
Last, but far from least, Eunomia Chairman Dominic Hogg retained his 2015 position of 2nd place, with Resource simply stating that “What Dominic doesn’t know about the waste industry isn’t worth knowing.” Dominic was pipped to the number one post by celebrity chef and campaigner Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, whose recent BBC One programme Hugh’s War on Waste raised public awareness around issues of food waste.
