Emma How, Specialist Technical Advisor at Eunomia, and Karen O’Donoghue of the British Heart Foundation will be running a workshop on the practicalities of re-use on a civic amenity site at the National Civic Amenity Conference on 15th July.
The workshop will focus on identifying the challenges local authorities, the third sector and contractors face in providing facilities and maximising re-use at CA sites such as lack of space, sourcing and intercepting suitable items and making items available to the public. Conference delegates will then work through practical solutions to effectively overcome these challenges.
Other subject areas at the conference include dealing with trade waste, communicating to local residents to increase site participation and cutting the costs and improving the efficiency of sites.
The sold out event will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull on the 15th July – full programme and futher details can be found here.
