Ayrshire Power Ltd Planning and Permitting Co-ordination

Back

Eunomia played the lead and coordinating adviser role to Ayrshire Power Ltd on the preparation of a planning application (Section 36) to Scottish Ministers for a new 1,852MW ‘clean’ coal power station, equipped with full-chain carbon capture and storage (CCS) infrastructure.

Eunomia was involved from the outset of the project, advising on sites selection, positioning and configuration, planning policy context, need, alternatives, coordination of EIA, road, rail and shipping transport logistics, and the relative timing and nature of required permits. This included discussions with a broad range of stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and all levels of government.
